I am writing from a place in the center of North America. Here in the center of one of the seven lands across seven seas is a town called Saint Joseph. It is a holy place which the Lord has chosen to accomplish a hidden work.
Before the Europeans came here, there were a number of tribes in this area. What is now called the Missouri river was the roadway they used. Before horse came to America, these tribe found the river as the way to travel through the land. One of these tribes came to be called the Missouria. This means "those that dug out canoes" This tribe was an off shoot of the Sioux which are also called the Lakota.
The peoples of America were not writers. There is no history they have written. The word came from Europe. Probably the first words written at the place I now write, were on July 7, 1804. At that time the Lewis and Clark expedition camped in the what is now saint Joseph. They called in Saint Michael's Prairie. At that time the river ran around it to the west. In 1952 a flood changed the course of the river. Rosecrans Airport now stands about were they camped, but the river is now east of there.
Tribal peoples considered this place to be holy. In the world this Word is man very unholy in the way it is used. Let us bring the holiness of it forth. This Word "holy" comes from the Greek word hagios. It means sacred. It is the same as sanctify. Saint, sanction, sanctuary, sacred, holiness are all of this word. It is the Hebrew word- kodesh. It means to separate to the very nature of the Holy God. To write about Saint Joseph requires we first establish the Word-holy. when something is truly holy it means that God watches over it and guards it for His purpose to be revealed. I write now to hold saint Joseph true to its name.
In the world this Word is man very unholy in the way it is used. This sentence should read....in this world the Word-"holy" is used in a very unholy way by men.
ReplyDeletefor some reason, this blog will not let me correct mistakes. I hope you can see beyond them. But if not , ask and I will try to clarify. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI stretch forth my hand to write about Saint Joseph, as one whom was also born upon the ground of this city, in the land called Missouri, Blessed be Saint Joseph, and yes, I also write, that the Word is holy and true, and to sanctify, even so, anoint the stone, the name of Joseph, to write of the history of this city, and the alignment of how the Word was brought to this land is, really, the samee as those who came here before us...yet, ours is one of "turning around"....And, we, take up our own pens/staffs to write, joining hands here in Saint Joseph, measuring the blessing back unto Jerusalem. Those who measured from the East to the West...literally, upon this very portion of the North American continent...California...Pioneers,Recorders, Surveyors,Writers, not all that long ago.
ReplyDeleteBlessed be those who come here to read, and those who hear, and those who may write, whose hands Handle/Keep the things herein. Blessed be the sanctification of the city called Saint Joseph,in the land called Missouri. Holy is the Word upon Joseph.
Joseph
Greetings Joseph. Today the greatest Pioneers,Recorders, Surveyors, Writers measure the ground of Saint Joseph. It is good to see the hand of Joseph as a second witness.
